If you have been exercising and are feeling the pain of DOMS, massage gun therapy can be a great way to alleviate that pain as well as improve muscle endurance, power and kinesthetic awareness. Back massager therapy is also a great way to relax and reduce stress. Finally, it helps you recover faster so that you can get back into the gym sooner than later!
What is DOMS?
DOMS stands for Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness, a condition that affects your muscles after they have been used for a long period of time. It can be caused by a lot of different factors, such as overtraining, lack of sleep, or dehydration.
Back massager can be used to massage your back and reduce the pain caused by muscles. Massage guns are a type of handheld back massagers that provide deep tissue massager therapy.
Massage machines are great for relieving tension and soreness in your muscles, as well as increasing circulation to the affected areas. If you have chronic pain in your back, then a massage gun may be the right choice for you.
What Causes DOMS?
When you exercise, your body performs eccentric muscle contractions. These are the contractions that occur when you lower weights or let your body fall down. Eccentric muscle contractions cause micro trauma to muscle fibers, which causes them to break down and be rebuilt stronger than before. However, masage machine also triggers a complex inflammatory response that leads to pain and stiffness as well as swelling in the area. The resulting tenderness and pain can last for days after strenuous exercise because of this inflammatory response. The swelling is caused by fluid trapped within damaged tissue surrounding injured muscles (edema), while DOMS itself is caused by an imbalance between levels of two proteins: creative kinase (CK) and myoglobin—which allows water into the cells causing them to expand—and interleukin-6 (IL-6). These hormones are released from damaged tissue during recovery from hard training sessions or intense exercise after DOMS has already set in.
